Dr. Curzon's Energy and the Environment course was a major eye opener. This is a class that needs to be taught well and it was by Curzon.

He is a good person with a good sense of humor. He smiles at his students and available for help. On the other hand, his exams are very tough, and the lectures notes are messy. He is getting too old and I think that he should retire.

I don't reccommend anybody to take his class. It is impossible to understand his hand writing. He mixes ideas and concepts together when he's explaining and therefore it is hard to know what is what. His assignments are so long and hard. His exams are deadly with low class averages, every time he teaches physics 101.

This professor is very unorganized, he makes numerous mistakes in class in the lecture notes. The notes are useless anyways as they make no sense when you go back and read them. His midterms were pretty tough but the final exam was ridicously hard. He is way too old and should retire.

Has really terrible lecture notes. I stopped copying his notes after the 2nd week and studied myself from the textbook. Midterms are fairly easy if you did your homework as it is based heavyily on the assignments.

Wonderful Teacher!. If you take Prof. Curzon's class make sure to write asides indicating important points. He is pretty straight forward and he follows the textbook, but does not reiterate the textbook. He likes to use variables in his examples, so that it can be applied to infinite number of problem sets.

The class was unorganized. He should have had prepared overheads. there were mistakes in several lectures, only to have him correct them later. He sent emails, often several times a day, sometimes to correct mistakes from the correction email. fill in blanks notes would save time give more time for examples of the difficulty level of the prob sets.

If YOU make an effort to speak to him about the troubles you are having with any questions.. he WILL go out of his way to help you as much as he can or untill you are satisfied. I like this guy for all the effort he puts in. =)

Terrible, when u know u have Curzon as a prof, i totally advise you to DROP the CLASS. I'm still choked that i paid for this class... he could be teaching Japanese for all i know - it's that unclear. He never defines any symbols and all the notes are undefined diagrams.

Course is actually quite easy if you still remember your Phy 11/12. There are no real difficulties except some really weird/unclear pbms in the hwk/test (So many bio related pbms on final). Notes can be messy, but the txt is not hard to read. He also tries too hard to entertain the class w/ his "artistic skills". Maybe he'll be great in art class.
