By far the worst professor I have had so far, do not take him if you can. His test were nothing like what is taught in class. He does maybe one example the whole classes, and an even hard question is asked on exams. Expects you to basically teach yourself because he barely taught our class.

He is one of the best engineering professors in the school. The exams at first appear to be totally out of whack from the course taught, but they are actually not. He doe not give plug-and-chug problems on tests and HW. People need to think to solve them, which is the reason most students do not like him.

Does not show how to solve equations or apply knowledge. Exam questions do not necessarily reflect course material nor homework. Throws out exams because students can't pass them. Final grade will be low but passing. If you have to take this course, find another professor to tutor you on the side.

Why is he an egr 101 teacher? other egr 101 classes are building rockets and we're in the classroom talking about energy sources. There's no homework which is good, but his projects are not interesting at all.

Dr. Helfrick, is a great guy, very tough, yet fair. Exams are not fun, but the information obtained in lecture proves to be very enlightening. His approach of making the courses difficult, is great it forces a lot of independant research and reading to understand many things. I enjoy his classes.

The best professor I ever had! The man is a genius and knows almost everything he is asked, otherwise he makes sure he knows by the next day. His classes were the most chalenging and most needed in my entire career. Got straight A's in all his classes.

Very smart, but does not know how to teach. Now that I am working I found out that what he taught was a bunch words extended to sound smart. All the courses could of been taught in a different matter that could of be understanding.

I had him as a make up professor when the original left. This was back in 2000 or so. The guy would teach things and then put something else on the exam. Hands-down the hardest class I ever took. The only "C" I ever got in college.

He did not know how to teach this class. He's a horrible professor. He'd say one thing one day, the complete opposite the next, and deny that he said it incorrectly at all. By the end of the semester, 80% dropped.
