Medina is pretty awesome. He is not an easy grader, but he is very fair so no need to worry. One of the smartest professors Ive had and definitely one of the best classes Ive taken. Highly recommended.

Brilliant yet incredibly normal. A great professor at any level. More than any other professor in the dept, he genuinely wants you to succeed, not because it would make him look good, but for your own good. You will work hard, so enjoy it.

Definitely quirky, but i got along with him great, and i am not fluent in spanish. do your work. visit him if you are having trouble. you'll do fine. and he knows his stuff, so pay attention and take advantage of his expertise.

Medina is extremely intelligent and offers interesting insights into the Spanish texts. He also clearly prepares for class and is very organized. The only problem is that he is fairly intimidating. He expects alot from his students so be ready. You will learn alot if you take a course with him.

It is amazing how someone so young can be so intelligent. He can find an interesting and unusual view in any text, film and even a tv cartoon. U may feel intimidated but he'll always hear you and find value in your ideas. He'll make you strive for the best.

Medina's flippant attitude in class made me uncomfortable to speak up for questions or comments. If you are really confident in Spanish, you will do well, but if you aren't, like me, I recommend taking this course with another professor.
