She was a nice person and she seemed really enthusiastic about the subject. She also didnt grade harshly. There wasnt many assignments so you had to do good on the tests to pass. She was terrible at answering questions during class, shed either tell them to go find the answer or go off topic. LOTS OF READING.

It's hard to gage her. Some days you think you think you got it. Other times you have to tell yourself to be quiet. Class was hard because there was a lot of abstract thinking and concepts. Lots of reading and take home tests or open note tests would be beneficial because it would help keep thoughts organized. She is tough.

Tests are hard if you don't go to class and study. Takes attendance everyday. Gives random in class assignments that she doesn't let you make up if you miss. Write in detail on everything, most written answers need to be at least 8-10 sentences.

Colleen has really helped me grow as a Sociologist. Even though she is a tough teacher, she really pushes you and makes sure that you get your money's worth from your education! Don't be afraid to take her because she is tough! If your not here to work hard and learn, you shouldn't be here!!!!!!

She sounded like she had a fake British accent. She would also clear her throat in a high pitched fashion. Quite annoying, but probably necessary?? Anyhow, she was an okay prof. but couldn't articulate well and wasn't able to transfer knowledge to students in meaningful ways.
