What a waste of time. He spends most of class discussion time going back and forth between the three students whose names he knows. The (pointlessly long) reading assignments and class lectures were rarely in sync, and it was a struggle to get up for this 9am class. Take SO131 with someone else.

If you do the readings, study for the tests, and can write well, you will get a good grade. Some of the readings are excessive, but most are interesting. Professor Campbell either knows you and likes you, or doesn't.

looks like peter griffin, and shares the same intelligence level as well. This guy can't put together a coherent argument in class, and if you EVER disagree with him, your grade will suffer (at least on papers). The text book is NEVER USED, no tests, just papers, learned NOTHING. Worst class i have ever taken in my entire life, avoid at all costs

Professor Campbell is the most patient professor I've ever had. He is very passionate about his work and tries to make the class relevant to people who are not big on numbers and spreadsheets. I think he's a great person and I hope to able to take more classes with him in the future.

Professor Campbell was extremely flexible and always willing to help students with their work. He was concerned that we understand the sometimes difficult material and put in many extra hours to make sure that we did so. Heartily recommended.
