yeah, i didn't like him. he's hard and if you ASK a question in the middle of class - he looks at you as if you have seven heads. its ridiculous. he's a hard critquer - do the work & just hand it in - its stupid work at the same time. and the book isn't necessary, he's gonna tell you that.

You will earn the grade you deserve. Don't try to be a smart a** with him because he will put you in your place. He gives a lot of work but in the end it's worth it. I learned so much that spring semester. I got an A- but most importanly I got more experience and interest. I am looking foward on taking another class with him this coming spring.

I took two classes with him. Yes, it is true, if you do not have a passion (and hopefully some talent) you're screwed. He'll make you earn your grade. Most of the time he shares stories about artists, plays movies and discusses his students work. He believes that practice makes perfect, rather than theory. it's difficult, but truly worth it!

He knows his stuff, however, he should not be a professor. Same work over and over. Very unclear about assignment objectives, and then proceeds to belittle you when you show your work to him. It's nearly impossible to progress as an artist in his class. I do not regret dropping his class and neither should you, if you must.

worst art teacher at Kean. He deters students from art instead of encouraging them. I have taken him 2 times- mistake. The 1 time he caused me to get an inc in another class b/c he assigned 2 projects for 2-D that involved 1300 1/4 in. boxes painted in designer colors within the last 2 weeks of the semester.
