Comment:

On day 1, he explained that he makes mistakes and he wasn't wrong. It helps to read the textbook prior to each lesson to understand his errors and he encourages students to correct him. Aside from that slight flaw, he is very smart. He uses examples when he teaches, which is very helpful. Gives weekly quizzes and reviews for exams. Good professor!

I took this professor for Calc 1 and I got an A, he was awesome! BUT LOOKS LIKE HE DOESNT KNOW HOW TO TEACH CALC 2 AT ALL!! I try to understand him and still can't get it right, failed the midterm and will probably fail the class. I don't even know what to do anymore. He missed a bunch of classes and still wanted to cover all the material, awful.

Prof. Arnow was the best math professor i have ever had. Calculus is not an easy subject, but Prof. Arnow made the material crystal clear. He goes over the best method to use and other helpful methods. Quiz every week, after going over the material again and over the hw. You have to do the hw & ask questions. dont be lazy and you will get an A

Brilliant professor with an impressive knowledge of mathematics. Dr. Arnow is patient, wise, and has a subtle sense of humor. He is clear and methodical in his teaching which he supplements with nice geometry visuals. HWs, quizzes, tests, are fair and grading is generous. He is a kind, caring man, who is extremely helpful when needed.

I have to agree with most of the others. Makes a ton of mistakes! Quiz every week. He somehow manages to rearrange the wording of questions which throws you completely off. The entire class failed the Midterm and had trouble with the final even with a cheat sheet. Steer clear of this individual.
