Comment:

Rey has a grandpa sense of humour, if you don't get it, then you probably didn't spend much time with your grandpa. He's really nice if you approach him after class and would answer any question. His exams were overrated, not too hard to score above the average in any of them. Final was a repetitive from the assignments and midterm 1, literally.

He is weired! If you are looking for FEM, there are much better courses are presented in other Depts. His projects are lame. He is confusing, and doesn't know how to teach. Very very poor quality. Absolutely wasting time.

Comment:

This course is overrrated as to it's hardness level. Just keep up with the material and you will be fine. The Prof's written course notes are actually very good and he is very helpful if you ask questions during his office hours. There is no matlab needed, that's just bonus material at the end of the course. Don't scare yourself to despair.

Interesting course, but ridiculous professor. Doable midterms, but he is unforgiving in the marking and an insane final that nobody can do. Doesn't know what he's talking about...can't answer his own questions! Hardest/most frustrating course you will ever take at Chemical Engineering.

Tough and intense course which requires some background knowledge of Matlab (or a programming language). Don't plan on doing anything else all semester...but in the end it was worth it for me.

Probably the most useless professor I have ever come across at McGill. Cannot teach, doesnt answer questions, writes the toughest possible final. The assignments are hard and dont really help you understand the material and all you have as resource material is the course pack which does not have any examples. You're doomed unless McGill fires him.
