Very knowledgeable, very easy. You should be fine if you take good notes. I think he does care about his students if you go to office hours and demonstrate intelligence. Oakland's lucky to have him.

I was so stressed during his semester- you dont have any idea what your grade will be until the last week. There is one paper and one final at the end of the semester. His lectures were unclear and would not reccomend him to anyone.

It seems really hard at first and you think he is a pain in the butt and don't understand his lectures but really in the end it is one of the easiest classes i have ever had. you have to have time to read everything the text and 2 books .

I dont like how he only gives you a final and a paper worth 50/50, but he knows sooooo much about the middle east! He gives you the questions that are going to be on the exam, and he never wants your opinion, just the facts.

Extremely knowledgable about the Middle East. Doesn't make a lecture plan, he just talks about the Middle East (sometimes talks off-subject about a question). One research paper worth 50% of grade, on blue book final worth 50% of grade.

He's a looker but a pain too. There are unannouced quizzes so make sure to take good notes but I did well on all of them. Be prepared to only learn about Muslims. The final isn't too bad- it's on a book, know it and you're good to go

Very annoying about his religion, class is extremly boring. Randomly gives unannounced quizzes. Does not care about his students at all, does not care if they do well. just wants to do his job and leave. does not care who you are. grade is all based final

Opinionated, arrogant, indifferent and intimidating but quizzes are easy based on that day's lecture and are given randomly. Very intellegent and knowledgeable about the world particularily the Middle East.
