Alex is a fair professor. I did everything on the syllabus and a couple of extra credit assignments. I also took two tests got a C on the first and a B on the second and somehow pulled out with an A!?!?! I recommend you read your text, do your discussions and your web quests and you'll do well in this class.

Took this online.I Don't recommend him. You're clueless on your grades. The tests are hard. You get no feedback. Did horrible on both tests but I still got a B. Take Alan Renga's class instead. I took him for 109 and it was one of my favorite classes ever.

Easy but uninteresting class. It felt to me like he was phoning it in - most of the material clearly had not been updated in years (Rosa Parks did NOT die last week) and all the "lectures" are merely references to other websites. Recommended if you need it for requirement/credits, otherwise not so much.

Took on line. Very interesting way to learn. Liked the webquests and got to go in depth on the things I wanted to. Not just names and dates but why and what if. If you like to challenge yourself this is the class. If you want a memorization class not for you. Did all the extra credit.

I loved his class Alex is a laid back teacher but can get his point across. He allows you to turn things in a little late and is actually interested in how you are and what you did over the weekend and what not. Great class be sure to have the book he uses it daily also take notes! Loved him a lot someone to reccomend for sure!!!! :):):):):):):):):

This is an online course, so students depend on the descriptions given by him. His many typos(misspelled words, wrong dates and left out words) in exams and assignments caused frustration. He needs to move beyond focusing on his liberal agenda of equity issues and teach the course!

Luckily I took this online-his lisp is so pronounced I could barely understand him. Only posted grades for tests, not other assignments. Tests had many wrong answers. He ackowledged this via email but who knows if the tests were graded correctly. Too busy focusing on Mexican, race & gay issues.
