Love him! He was funny and although lectures can be boring sometimes, he always tries his best to spice it up. Tells great stories and is very relatable. Would definitely take a class with him again. If you take Deviant Behavior with him just be cautious as the material can be gory at times, but he states that on the first day, so its no surprise.

Dr. Thomas is one of the best professors at SUNY Oneonta. His deviant behavior class is one of the best classes I've ever taken. It's not for the easily offended, for sure. He's a little corny, but pretty funny. There's a midterm, a final, a paper on a book, and weekly quizzes (straight from the book). Pretty clear cut material.

Deviant Behavior one of the best classes I've ever taken. Class gets to become a bit much. Never been hit emotionally in class ever before. He gets students he doesn't teach to bore, literally funny guy with interesting topics. Like it says on another note if you get offended to easily or grossed out by graphics not the class for you.

I loved Deviant Behavior with Thomas but the class is extremely graphic and it's not like any other class i've taken. It affects you emotionally and mentally and it is not a class for people who get offended easily and those who can not handle seeing messed up things. Online quizzes weekly, 2 papers, a midterm & final. Over all, great class

Doesn't use powerpoint just straight lectures. There's literally no point to going to class except for signing the attendance sheet. Most test questions from the textbook, not the presentations. You're supposed to read 2 full novels and a textbook for the course and are tested on them.

Alex is crazy! He should be in theater. He loves to act, tell stories for shock value, and gross us out. I think he is a closet cross dresser or actually a women in a man's clothing. I think he smokes dope and plays with Mary and her 4 sisters alot.

Dr. Thomas is an awsome teacher. Online quizzes are based on textbook. He has a great sense of humor, and the class lectures are basically just interesting material/stories based on what subject you're on. Tests are pretty straight forward from the lectures/book. No paper/research in Drugs and Society. 10% added to final grade for attendance.

I have enjoyed taking several courses with Dr. Thomas. The topics he teaches are interesting and he makes lectures fun. Know your stuff and you will do fine on the tests. He is willing to help his students out - I def recommend him.
