In short, he is the man. Maybe instead of counting the times he said ok, you people should of payed attention to what he was actually teaching. Oh what, it's hard? Try going to a western university! The reason it's difficult is because he wants you (as students) to realise how hard it is, and for you all to prepare well when you study abroad.

Leave Vesey alone! He's awesome..I love his class (although it can get boring) and if you like Japanese history then you'll love him. He's so nice and really cares about his students. Yea, he does say 'ok' a lot but I never really noticed it until the kids in my class started counting. Easy class...not much work.

VERY boring class, lived in Japan and doesn't stop talking about it. also says "okay" after EVERY word... no joke we counted during class and he said it 20 times in ONE MINUTE! other than that... enjoy.

If you enjoy history, you will really enjoy Vesey's class. Very knowledgable about the subject matter at hand, has a creative style of teaching. A lot of reading, but you learn a lot as well. Not difficult if you participate a lot and do the readings!

This guy has no idea how to teach and has a HUGE obsession w/ Japan. He is arrogant cuz he graduated from Princeton, but his speaking ability is worse than any student in the class. He has a habit of saying okay...we counted 350+ times in one class.
