He's a honest, but tough grader. If you act like an adult and do the reading and pay attention, he gives you everything you need to know to do well on the essays. If you're lazy and slack off, you won't do well. But hey, this is college. Didn't come her to learn?

Really good professor! Super smart and knows so much about everything! Very passionate about history and shows it. Class is almost strictly lectures but you learn a lot. Very heavy reading load but is a fair grader. Exactly the kind of professor you want in college.

Comment:
Professor Wadsworth is extremely pompous. He is unnecessarily focused on citations (to the point of ridiculousness). He has little tolerance for people that do not know as much as he does. The reading was copious and much of it was unnecessary- the amount could have been halved with no educational repercussions. I wouldn't take his class again.

Professor Wadsworth is one of the best professors you will ever find at Stonehill. He cares so much about the subject matter he is teaching and really shows that to the class. His classes are strictly lecture based, but he lectures in a way that leaves room encouraged feedback/interruptions. You'd be missing out if you didn't take a class with him.

Wadsworth is an ok teacher. He acts like he knows everything. He assigns a ton of reading every night but you don't really have to do it, just pay attention during discussions the next day. If you miss class, you probably won't miss work but you'll miss the reading reviews. Whole grade is based on midterm, final and research paper- START IT EARLY!

Took HIS 244 and 272 with him by far the best professor I've had at Stonehill yet! Completely convinced me to declare world as my concentration. Reading is not required but VERY helpful when it comes time to write papers. At first it may seem like he's bragging about his intelligence but he really is just trying to share all of his amazing stories!

His class is all class discussion and some movies. Doing the readings is not mandatory but would definitely help you on the midterm and final. Grade is completely based on mid term final and research paper. Very nice man, but the class isn't great.

For those who have GENH with him, he tries to scare you away. He's not that bad. Thinks he knows everything but if you do most the reading and pay attention to what he says in class you'll be well prepared for the midterm/final. Also stay on top of your term paper. It's due faster than you think. Definitely a stressful course but you learn a lot.

Couldn't stand this guy. Laughs at his own jokes, thinks he is always right. VERY liberal. Not that tough, though: a midterm, a final, and a 7 page research paper that is graded through multiple assignments. Random grading techniques, but he gives out studyguides. Don't need to do the readings. Just stroke his ego.

This class was extremely interesting and I learned a lot from it throughout the semester. The class is mostly discussion-based and participation is a main part of it. If you speak in class and enjoy this type of class its a good one to take.

Professor Wadsworth has completely changed everything I thought about history...and I'm a history major! His thoughts and opinions are absolutely unique, his class is so eye opening. Lots of reading for homework but you can get away without reading, although papers will be difficult to write then. Not too hard of a grader.

one of my favorite professors ever. you get a lot of reading, but you learn to selectivly ready so its not so bad at all. the midterm and exams are really easy if you go to class. its largely discussion based, so its really great active learning. the topics he chose to teach are very interesting

This class is largely discussion-based and there's a lot of reading, but that's okay because the topics are very interesting. For each topic, he spends one class lecturing or showing a related video, then one class for discussion of that topic. However, this class also includes a 7-10 page research paper that's a huge part of your grade.

Professor Wadsworth is a really nice guy and means well but assigns ridiculous amounts of reading. If your in his class just be selective and read some things not all because there isn't enough time. Going to class is pretty important the discussions run everything. P.S. 10 page term paper!!!

HORRIBLE. he assigns at least 50 pages of reading a night, followed by a boring class "discusion" where he ends up rambling about his own opinions on the subject. He assigns a huge research paper which counts for a large portion of your grade. tests arent too bad, theyre based on the readings but a lot of studying required

I love these lazy students who don't like professors who challange their students. What do they want an education or a pat on the back. The guy is great. If you're a serious student, you'll learn a lot. He's not for the intellectual migets who think they deserve and A because they breath!
