This professor's looks can seem pretty intimidating at first, but she cares deeply for her students and the subject matter and it shows. She will cater her class to what the students need and want to learn. Her comments on your scripts are very useful, but are, unfortunately, illegible. She is a helpful and solid choice for your writing professor.

She teaches at USC/ elite level and will blow your mind. I don't think the average CSUN student is intelligent enough to appreciate her style of lecturing unfortunately. I learned the absolute most from her. She was my last screenwriting professor and I'm so thankful. She also gave the most helpful and meaningful feedback on our scripts.

How disrespectful that anyone holds her hard of hearing against her! She's actually a wonderful professor and there is much to gain from her! She's truly knowledgeable and encouraging. If you're having trouble in the semester, just go talk to her! She's willing to help you out. All she wants is for her students to walk away actually having learned.

She expects you to read an insane amount of books, of which I read none. I still got A's on all of my papers just by reading the spark notes. She's also really weird, but it's funny.

Wonderful professor - have taken several classes with her. Be sure to take at least one class with her if you're a CTVA major. I learned a lot.

She went to Yale and Cal Arts...great source of knowledge about film/filmmaking. Her comments are insightful/very helpful. Great recommendations. For those who had trouble communicating because of her hearing, EMAIL her! She always writes back and accommodates student needs indefatigably. She is a feminist, true. Best if you are a film MAJOR.

Wonderful teacher! She may be a little bit out there but that's because she takes the craft of screenwriting seriously so if you don't expect to deal with some backlash. She taught me a lot and I couldn't be happier to have had her as a professor. Take her if you actually wanna work on your skills, you won't regret it

Yes, criticism is trade and it can be helpful. But she digresses into such useless material and her bad hearing really makes it difficult for the class to talk to her. I'm gabby so this was less of a problem, but as one of the very few students not afraid to present my work in front of everyone I was rewarded with a lambasting.

I can honestly say she has been the worst professor of my four years at CSUN. No idea why they dont just put her out of her misery already and fire her. She literally can not hear a word the students are saying, and you are required to scream in order to communicate. Her criteria for grading your script is also asinine - STAY FAR AWAY!!

This class is for serious screenwriting students only. If you're serious about improving your craft and understand that criticism is meant to help, then this professor is for you. Her extensive notes are razor sharp and helped me take my screenplay to the next level. The work I did in her class is now being considered for production. Cheers!

Alexis is passionate, provides a voice for feminist writing, and can be very personally encouraging. Negatives: constantly jetting off to film festivals abroad, makes very little office time for her students, dumps the critique work on her T.A. -- also, her logic can be weird (told me I should go to law school b/c I wrote a political thriller).

She's pretty lazy and wrapped up in her own projects. She wanted to get out of class more than some of the students.

She has a passion for screenwriting that is obvious in her lectures and her responses to the students in the class. She may be a little out there and have a hearing problem that sometimes make communicating difficult; but she is a good teacher that will give you a lot of tools to work with.

Wonderfully enthusiastic professor. No midterm!!! This class is great for anyone interested in independent film. I learned a lot of things I did not know before taking the class. Prof. Krasilovsky is fun, smart, and very supportive. Engages class in open discussion. Encourages diverse opinions. Wish I had her for more classes.

I really enjoyed this class and teacher. She is very positive and into the subject. If you are not into Film then do not take this class. Most of the students thought they'd just be watching movies all semester (which is part of it) and seemed shocked when they actually had to discuss the films on a critical level. I highly recommend this prof.

She seemed to not like boys very much. She exposes you to some really great memorable films, and then some that really were just awful. Just keep on her good side so she doesn't flip out on you.
