Mr Z is the best instructor ever! Very knowlegeable, helpful and funny, loves telling interesting stories. Mr Z was heavily involved in the HPU computing club, helping secure facilities, financing the club with equipment from his own pocket, repairing computers for club use, teaching students how to fix computers themselves, and much much more.

Comment:

Took as an online class. Mr.Z is a nice man, but needs to look at retiring. To be fair to him he's had some health issues and it's impacting the class as many of his postings are pretty incomprehensible. Its possible to complete the class using the textbook, online resources, and teammates, just don't expect good help from him if you get lost.

This is by far the worst professor I have had at HPU. I was close to filing a petition against his grading techniques. He constantly grades incorrectly then takes offense when you call it out. If you ask for help he will post you a MS link to something that has nothing to do with what you asked. Take the class with someone else. Even if not online.

This class was online. I did not care for this teacher at all. He can barely type in a full sentance, let alone instruct a class. If you ask for help, he will cut and paste his first answer to your question and hope you get it. Highly recomend not taking this class, especially with Mr. Z.

Tough class! About 10 projects on Excel and about 6 on Access. One Excel and One Access Final. Makes you work in groups so if you're in a smart group, you luck out. A lot of time goes into trying to complete each project, take that into account if you plan on taking him. Decent prof. overall. If you have the chance take Yamashita or Nelson.

i took this course online. it was really easy. you just have to make sure you set time out to do ur weekly assignments which doesnt take that long if you follow instructions. i learn a whole lot with this course very useful in the future. the final and paper was easy. i usually dont do good on papers or test but i got As on both of them.

Computer Science is most useful if you take it in person. But if you choose to take it online, like i did, it's all about doing your daily reading and weekly assignments. There are a few group assignments, but other than that, this class was very useful and leaves you with knowledge you can use in office applications.

I took this class online and it was very easy. A lot of group work, but that's also a plus because you can divide up the assignments. Online class didn't have any quizzes; mostly case studies on how to use Word/Excel/PowerPoint. There was no online lecture. I highly recommend this professor if you're thinking of taking this class online.

The only reason why this class was somewhat difficult was because I took it online. I had to teach myself with somethings, but that is what helped me learn it better (in my opinion). I recommend him. (I got an A.) I don't know what everyone else is crying about on the other ratings.
