This class was ridiculous. Ali just rambled and rambled with no point. I never read the books and I never really needed to. Everyone few classes he would get upset because no one participated so just throw a comment in every now and again and you'll be perfectly fine. He's a nice guy but not the best teacher.

One of the best professors at UNE. He is truly an expert in his field of North African politics. Many find his classes boring, but if you are intrested in poli. sci. any of his classes are amazing. He will challenge you, so don't take the class for an easy grade. Amazingly helpful and his office is always open fo help.

Well, I was interested in Mahfouz before - but I'm not now! Ali would be a great professor if... he let women talk more in his class, expressed an interest in others' opinions and didn't become haughty when others had an opposing viewpoint or a different interpretation of the text. Oh, and we have heard ENOUGH about your personal life! Enough!
