This instructor is so arrogant, he thinks he knows everything and he gets very angry when you correct him. He will lie to you at the beginning of the semester and argue with you later about it. He has no problem giving failing grades. Don't listen to the people that like him, because they are most likely people with no social life and 4.0 GPA...

Controls just isn't that hard of a class. Alouni gives good lectures and is willing to help with any questions the students may have. He does grade subjectively so you need to be careful how you answer questions on a test.

SEcon is just a weird class. Alouani is not the best choice because he can be VERY overbearing and can lean on you pretty hard if you don't know how to keep him happy. But at least he doesn't leak all your design secrets to the other teams like Nat does.

Good prof. Very clear. Pay attention in class and do the hw. Sit towards the front and try to answer as many questions as you can. If you don't get it, ask (you may have to repeat, cause sometimes he doesn't understand what you're saying). The guy knows controls.

After taking junior controls with Alouani, I can say that he ranks up there with Rajan's best! Great at explaining material and offering real world examples. In test problems just getting the governing equation is worth 80%... grades on concepts. Awesome professor; always willing to help!
