I loved this class. He explained everything very well, and if you need help he is always in his office during his office hours. You will need to buy the book because there is almost always homework. He doesnt give you a whole lot, just enough so that you feel confident about the material. Grades homework and test quickly. Take his class if you can.

if you already had calc, his intro to applied calc class will be a cake walk. if you didn't, just go to class, take good notes, and maybe get a tutor. his tests aren't bad as long as you did all the homework. decent guy but i'd be afraid to ask him for help bc he is not very personable

had him for precalc. hes not too bad if you have some knowledge of what hes teaching or if youre really good with math. hes definitely not the worst that ive had but not quite the best either. tests werent bad.. homework every night but there was a lot of extra credit.

Hard class to understand at first. Does teach a little weird, but his intentions are of the best. Definitely stay awake and do the homework and extra credit, even if you think you won't need it... you will. You will be frustrated at times, but with an adequate tutor, this class should be a breeze. Study!

I would definitely take him again. As far as the Math department he is one of the fairest teachers I've had. He taught and did not assign huge amounts of homework. Homework will help your grade so do it. I would take another class from him. I learned alot and he does teach. I would recommend him.

Dr. Grabner is a pretty nice guy, a little hard to follow sometimes, and has a tendancy to stand in front of the problems he presents on the whiteboard. Loves Minitab (pointless program). Overall a good teacher, opportunity to boost your grade if you do homework!

I dropped this class half way through the semester. He is really confusing and teaches from the perspective that everyone knows and loves math. If you aren't a math person, take this class from someone else or you may end up worse off that you started. He always wears the same 2 shirts all week. Ew!

I've had Dr. G.Grabner for 3 consecutive semesters. At first, he was a bit difficult to follow. But trust me, after experiencing other professor's in the math dept., he is definately one of the best SRU has. I would reccomend. You'll learn a lot...

He does alternate the same two shirts and his hair is all crazy, but he's nice. He seems though like he is afraid of the students like we are all going to attack him, so he seems timid and he mumbles a little. But do the homework and study for quizzes.
