Great professor, Still taking Dr. Orooji class but i truly enjoy him as a teacher. This class isnt all that fun but he doesnt decide the courses and he does make the best of it. I would definetly take him again, you do have to show up, the most basic requirement for just about anything...

Took during summer. Attendance is MANDATORY! He tells u first day that almost everyone makes an A. There are 4 speeches at 10 mins each & you will almost certainly get an A. Have to do 6 1.5pg book summaries. 2 tests of classmates multiple choice questions (which you get questions & answers beforehand) A 10pg paper at the end @ ur speech topics.

Reads slowly from notes available online. I got an A skipping almost every class and only showing up for tests. Tests are easy and quick, just double check your answers. Only covers the basics, be sure to read your entire textbook before more advanced courses.

This is your teacher for CS2, lots of xtra credit, easy tests which are curved if average is low. In my opinion he made CS2 easier than CS1 and that is coming from somebody that struggle in CS1. I did manage to get a B on this one. if you get Guha prepare for lots of coding.

Beginning programmers might have some trouble with him. Hard to understand sometimes (especially his handwriting), and is not much help after class. If you have experience with programming, take him. As long as you have experience, you should breeze right through the tests and homework. And he always brings the jokes to class.

Nice Guy, Bad Professor. All his tests(and final) are 4 questions. Get one wrong, and you get a bad grade. Lectures are mostly on structures rather than code. I have never heard of a 4 question final exam until now. Beginner programmers should avoid him.

He is a great teacher, he really makes sure that you understand what is is speaking about and he is more into conceptual rather than just coding. I would really recommend him as a teacher for people who aren't 100% coding whizzes. I just don't recommend him as an advisor.

Decent class. Do not get on his bad side! I spoke out of turn ONCE in his class. He never gave me a chance after that. I did A work, got A grades on quizzes/tests. Got a B in his class. Sit in back, go unnoticed and get an A.

Nice guy, but lectures are very boring. If this is your first time programming, you might have a difficult time and you'll need to do some self teaching. Some of the test questions were pretty tricky and had stuff a beginning programmer would never catch. But if you have some past experience programming in any language than you should do fine.

Very nice guy. If you like to write code then take Problem Solving. It was the best computer science course I've taken at UCF. 2 Assignments per week---thats it. No book and no studying...just code! Very very very fun class---TAKE IT!

Unless you plan on teaching yourself C with absolutely nobody knowledgeable to guide you, do not take him. He's a great guy, but he's a terrible professor. When questions are asked, he repeats the same statements over again, making him lose credibility as a professor. Programs aren't displayed in class and everything's online, in Arup Guha's notes.

My god. There are at least five people that come to class and fall asleep. He's okay, but everything is provided on the website. Notes are online, programs turned in on webct. He writes everything and you can't read it. He has horrible handwriting. There isn't really a reason to come to class other than tests.

I wish he would have gone faster, but he is a good teacher. C Programming is simple, so if you have ever touched a computer, you should pass. He does harp on the same topic over and over. Tests are pretty easy and he always changes his voice when he is going over answers on the test during his lecture. I plan on taking him again.

This is the 2nd time Im taking COP3223. The first time I took Kurson & he and Guha are way worse. This class is tough to begin with. He may not explain things great but his tests are WAY easier than the other 2. He only expects you to know what he has told you. Study his notes & u will be ok. Trust me, unless u r a C Programing dork, take this guy.
