God awful teacher and human being in general. The semester I took her, she was impossible to please even though I tried so hard to do well... She made that semester a horrible experience and several people walked out of her class because she was so disrespectful. Sue was one of the worst teachers I've ever had and so rude. DO NOT TAKE HER!

Truly the worst experience I have ever had with a teacher. She was disrespectful and rude without cause, merciless in cases of illness or emergency (even if documented), and simply...horrible, both in terms of her teaching skills and her personality. If there is no other option left but Sue Hurley, just wait another semester to take the class.

I had Sue for Eng 102 this fall and I will admit she was extremely hard, but if you are really trying to improve yourself as a writer then take her. She might not seem willing to really help you in class, but get with her outside of class and I promise you will see results. She is extremely nice and IS willing to help anyone that puts in the time.

This is the worst class you can possibly think of taking. She's extremely hard for absolutely no reason. No matter how good of a writer you are, you'll still have trouble in her class. This is hands down the worst class I have ever been in. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLASS!!!!!

Terrible professor! Believe EVERYTHING these other reviewers are saying, she is rude, vague and will basically give everything you turn in around a 65-70% regardless of effort. If you get her do yourself a favor and drop the class before it's too late!

She is absolutely terrible. She made me return to school a week after the passing of my father. She practically expects her students to be professional writers. She never clearly states what she expects from her students. A professional journalist was in my class and dropped 3 classes before the semester was over. Choose a different professor.

Mrs. Hurley is an instructor that expects students to put an effort into their work. I despise english composition. However, I put effort into my work, I talked to her daily about my work, and I showed enthusiasm to pass. She definetly does not make this class a blowoff. Show her you are trying and learning from your mistakes. Thats how you pass.
