I only had 1 year of french prior to taking this class (no, I did not place into 102, but I took it anyway...long story). This class isn't exactly easy, but if you study enough you can get an A. I study for it just about everyday before class for half an hour (or just do the homework), and I've got an A- in it.

If you really know what you are doing and can teach yourself, then I would just consider taking this professor. She is very stressful, doesn't explain assignments very well so when you do it wrong she gets in a tizzy, and the tests are over the littlest things mentioned in the book. She'll go over something for 2 minutes then test on it.

She is a nice person, but is very confusing. Things that could be easy are made hard because she is too educated for her own good and can't explain things easily. Homework all the time. Class isn't bad but consider taking a different teacher.

If you've never taken french before or have only taken 2 years or less, do NOT take this teacher. After the first month, she speaks mostly in french and doesn't bother to explain what's going on. Also, she gets upset easily!

Yeah if you have NOT taken french before.... DO NOT take her. I am not doing well at all. She moves really fast. Sometimes she is cool, but not often.. if you have had at least two years of french you should be ok.

Spoke far to quickly to learn anything from and never explained anything well. Spoke in french most of the time, even though the class should be level 1. Bad attitude, she's best suited for the French culture where to be rude is to be socialized.
