I absolutely love her and this class. For a 490 class, it was fantastic. Class is easy and discussion based, readings are interesting, there are no exams, and Dr. Grandey is eager to help and make you think. You DO have to do your readings. You can not come to class and succeed by just sitting there. I highly recommend

I started out just taking it for a 400 level, but she made me interested in IO psych. She's so passionate about the topics she's teaching, and you can tell she's not a professor just there for her research. Go to class for activity points & she emphasizes what will be on exams. Tricky exams but she wants to test your understanding not memorization.

She's very energetic and enthusiastic, one of the best professors that I've ever had. She was explicitly clear with everything covered and extremely fair with assignments and material on tests. Just go to class and you won't be disappointed.

As a non-psych major I had her for Psy002 and loved the class lectures. I took 441 and was very interested in the topic, but didn't have such a great experience. She does well in a lecture-format, but I agree with the other reviewer that she seemed very cold in-person and not helpful or understanding at all.

Very interesting class. Gives you a lot of examples to help you understand different concepts. 2nd exam was put off too long an dhad a LOT of info on it but not too bad, i've had worse. Overall easy class. Her class outlines of angel are basically what the exams are off of. didn't really see too much from the book on them that she didn't talk about

Very interesting class. 3 exams, 2 papers, up to 5% extra credit possible. Second is exam is tough and covers a lot, final exam is half cumulative, half the final chapter. Papers are short and not too difficult. I recommend taking this class, especially before deciding on a job.

really great class! dr. grandey explains everything clearly and welcomes, even encourages, questions. it's definitely a discussion based class, so you have to come pretty much every day, but dr. grandey thinks of fun ways to get everyone to participate.

Great teacher, good lectures and clear explainations but the tests suck. They are multiple choice but they always have only 2 real choices which gives u a 50/50 chance. She is very helpful and hot, even when she had a baby. She is very real to life and tries to get u to know the material.

she was absolutely amazing!!! i didnt think i wanted to ttake this class but she rocks and made it fun. thenexams are not hard just study your notes and the outlines she gives you and you'll be fine!!!

Dr. Grandey is a great professor but a cold person. She lacks the sincerity needed to appeal to her students to actively listen. Unlike others in her dept Grandey is very "high strung" and that can sometimes lead to interfering with her teaching style. If she removed the stick, she'd actually be a decent person.
