Comment:

Lectures and concepts could be confusing, but she was always more than willing to explain things in office hours and help. If you do the homework and understand it then the exams are not too bad. Definitely need to put in effort, but Prof. DeStefano is really nice and genuinely wants everyone to do well.

Comment:

Alisa gets a bad rep, but she's really a good egg. She really knows the material and wants you to know it cold too, but you really have to work for it and put in 110% to get a good grade. Take rigorous notes in class and do a ton of practice examples before the tests and you'll be golden. I actually wound up loving this class.

Lectures are very hard to follow and she definitely makes you feel dumb. No partial credit and she is super specific about how problems are solved. Tons of homework and you pretty much have to teach the material to yourself

Lecture was very clear and easy to follow, however, dont expect to be entertained (not that anyone can make calc 2 exciting, were here to learn not watch stand up). Quizzes were not difficult and exams were extremely fair. The amount of homework was bordering on ridiculous, but if you put in the work you are guaranteed an A on quizzes and exams.

Comment:

Calc 2 with Destefano was very fair. Her lectures are not interactive, but she is pretty thorough in her explanation. All exams and quizzes are very straightforward; she only includes the most fundamental versions of problems on assessments. Homework often, and usually much more difficult than the exams.

Professor DeStefano was not my favorite. She is definitely a tough grader. She gives a lot of homework and grades it based on right or wrong. We had about five exams, which were all very long. Sometimes would lecture very fast making it hard to understand the concept of the problem. Finally, it did not feel like a 100 level course.

She is helpful in office hours and gives lots of partial credit. Her class is a walk over if you do all the homework. Quizzes are helpful too. If tou go over the homework and quizzes, you should be set for the exams which are usually straight forward

Very nice lady. What I didn't like was that she explains things much like math text books do, very technical definitions and such, instead of just putting things in laymen's terms to make it easy to understand. (Even though its Calculus, it can still be explained in simple terms.) However, she is very helpful in office hours.
