Had her for several classes, so I can tell you she is a thousand times better in smaller classes. Her instructions can be a bit muddled, but she's willing to clarify, and she doesn't blame you if you misunderstand her rubrics. Likes it when people really discuss the readings. Purportedly retiring. An above average teacher, but a WONDERFUL person!

Her College Writing II class requires tons of tedious and outside of the classroom work. I learned more about fieldworking in that class than I did about writing. Although I did complain about her class on a daily basis, I ended up with a 95. If you do all the work she assigns honestly and take it one day at a time, you are sure to get an A.

COLLEGE WRITING II = Hell. If you absolutely have to take this class, you still shouldn't. LOTS of outside work. Should be called "Fieldworking 101". If you only had this class, you would stay busy all semester. Zero clarity. 6 huge papers, notecards due, outside work, and 1 ginormous final project.. DO NOT TAKE!

Still to this day, if I hear the ring tone I used as an alarm during this class I cringe. This was quiet possibly the worst class I've ever experienced. She picks favorites, and if you're not one you're screwed. She, as a person, is nice but sometimes her thoughts are chaotic. Do not take any of her classes - you will dread waking up each morning!!

I recieved a 4.0 my first semester at SRU. This woman would have stripped me of that and my dignity. For lack of a better word she is an aweful instructor. Avoid this woman at all costs; her class entails tedious busy-work that is evaluated with an absurd scale understandable to only McNeal.

She's a very nice woman, but she just can't teach. You have to do 2 45 minute presentations, which takes up most of the class time, so you literally do the teaching for her. Actual written work includes a journal and "learning logs," basically, all busy work that she grades rather oddly. A lot of her instructions are unnecessarily tedious.

Although the work is kind of easy, she has a rediculous grading system. She also reduces your points for "peer review sessions". If your peer writes a review in pencil, YOU get points off for it. Not fair at all. She also singles people out. Easy, if you can stand her constant joy.

quite honestly - I have never dreaded a class more in my life. She will immediately pick favorites in the class, and if you're not one - good luck. Often times she will give a bad grade and the reasons are terrible. Lenient only with her favorite students, otherwise there is NONE. I TRULY cringe when thinking about the class - and her :[

Have had her for 5 years, each year she gets better at teaching it seems. Really helpful w/course, lenient and accomodating with schedule. Very nice and able to talk to 1-on-1. A little scattered at times, but one of the most generous profs I've ever met. Kept me busy but was not all that demanding. Would def recommend!

She may be a little crazy at times, but overall I think she was a great teacher. Whenever I had a question on an essay, she would sort of help me to figure it out on my own, making me learn more. Of upi are confident in your writing skills, and you project that, you won't have a problem getting an A in the class.

I had her for college writing I and I can honestly say that I have never had a worse teacher in my life. She has never once helped on a paper and the comments she leaves on the paper are illegible and incomprehensible. She treats everyone as if they have the mental capacity of a five year old.AVOID AT ALL COSTS, SHE WILL MAKE YOUR SEMESTER HELl

I was actually looking forward to reading the literature in this class, before I met HER. She is disorganized, and she singles out people that she loves and hates at the beginning and there's no way to change it. She grades harshly, but can't tell you exactly what's wrong with your papers. I will never take a class with her again.

Still very tough with grading and assigns a good amount of reading for each class. Be prepared to contribute to class discussions or it'll hurt your grade. Is a bit crazy sometimes and gets off track but VERY nice and easy to talk to; she has no problem helping you out if you ask for it. Take her but be ready to work!!

she was crazy but she was extremely nice. a real hard grader as she gave me D's on every paper expecting me to write like Dan Brown. I do not recommend her because I wrote about 35 pages of work + note cards and got a D in the class and that counts as a fail :( you might as well write your own book if you're going to take her class.

She is a little bit crazy and makes you read laots of short stories. most of them are interesting though. She is easy to ask for help. To get a better grade go to the writing center and have them let her know you were there. I would take her again if I could
