The class was very interestiong. Ashworth is a noted geologist-he even has a glacier named after him. Tip: Go to the review sessions with Jessi Rock. You'll do fine on all of the tests if you make it to the review sessions.

He was a cool guy but he couldn't really get good information across. I think he is too smart for his own good and he expects his students to just know everything. Jessie Rock was a huge help in the study sessions though.

Somewhat boring lectures, but he tries to put some humor in them and his accent is great. I never really went to class much and just went to the study sessions and got a B, so I was pleased with that, I'm sure an A would be easily achievable.

awesome teacher, went on the 304 field trip and it was definitely worth one of my weekends if ya took 106 i definitely recommend getting your lab credit and taking 304 or another field trip class it was a blast and ashworth is really experienced after teaching the courses for 30 years

His class wasn't the most exciting one I've taken - but he makes it as interesting as Geology can be! His accent is amazing - and it makes you pay attention - he even adds a little humor! He incredibly passionate about Geology and I LOVED it!

Tests were very hard. Even if you studied alot. At one point, I believe the class average was a 30%, but he recognized this and gave bonus and made the final VERY easy so we could get our grades up. He is a nice and understanding teacher though.

Though the handouts have a lot of errors and Dr. Ashworth is sometimes not as prepared for class as he could be, he is nonetheless an interesting lecturer with a passion for geology that he tries to pass down to the students with enthusiasm. An understanding and all-around good guy.
