Make sure to go to class because if you miss his fill-in notes you'll be lost and if you got to his office hours for help he'll just tell you to get them from someone else. The second time I went to his office hours and and asked to look over my midterm he told me no because it'd take too long. Take a professor who actually wants to help you out!

He reads directly off of the lecture notes (which you get from Target Copy). If you are confused about something, he doesn't really clarify much more than what is already in the notes. The exams are just like SPs but they are still pretty hard (just because there is SO MUCH material to remember).

Professor Bathke is one of the best accounting professors I've had; he is EXTREMELY thorough. Take the time to understand the TargetCopy notes and you won't need to read the book at all. Also, the SPs and the online quizzes are the closest thing you'll get to how the questions will look on the test.

I wish all my Accounting professors were like Dr. Bathke. I bet his picture is right next to the definition of 'clarity' in the dictionary. No surprises on the exam if you THOROUGHLY study the Target notes and do the assigned ungraded homework problems. I'm taking him in the Fall for FAR 2. Attend class for extra credit. Used textbook for HW only.

Bathke is nice but is an extremely boring teacher. The notes and tests are straightforward but if you don't understand what you're doing, he's not much help. If you ask him a question in class expect to have to repeat the question 4 times and not get the answer you want.

Cannot complain, took him for Intermediate II. He has his own "TargetCopy" notes, but you'll need access to the book for practice problems. Only 3 tests and NO OTHER GRADES. Be extra sure to do well. He also does NOT curve grades. I got a 92.49 and he wouldn't give me the 92.5 I needed for A. Oh well. Be sure to do practice problems A LOT.

Bathke is by far the BEST accounting teacher I have taken at FSU. His lectures can be long but they are extremely clear. If you go to class, take down his notes, and memorize his notes, you will get an A on the test. Do the book and SP problems, they help. If you put in the effort and study hard, you will do well in this class.

Look Bathke is a very good professor, I had him for Far 2 and he made it a breeze. Cost is a whole different ball game. Try to take this class with an easy workload if possible. Know every nook and cranny of the target packet (legitimately study it every night for an hour to keep up) and then do the homework from the text he goes over in class

Like everyone else says, Bathke is the man. Tests are hard, but gives problems that are exactly like them. Do his SP's, go to every class and listen. Extremely thorough and covers exactly what is on the test. Really nice and will help anyone if they need help and he actually cares about everyone doing well. Would take for every FAR class I could!

Bathke is the man. He has target copy packets for each section of his notes, gives extra credit for attendance, and makes himself available to assist his students. His test are like the notes and practice problems so if you attend class and do all the homework youll be fine

Bathke is the nicest guy, but a little boring. You only need to know the material in your note-taking guide and all the book/supplemental problems- that's almost identical to your test. To get an A in this class, you need to either listen in class, read prior to class, or be able to teach yourself. Don't expect to start studying 48 hours before

Bathke is a great choice for FAR classes, IF you are willing to put in the work. His tests are not easy but if you do all of the supplementals and HW you will do fine. He is very willing to help you with any questions, either through email or in person. Does a pretty good job of explaining concepts, I would take him again.

Was one of the best professors ive taken. If you go to class fill out the notes and study the notes, you will be fine. Study the supplemental problems b/c they are the majority of the test.

His Target packets basically reflect the entire test. He's a really nice guy and tries very hard. The material isn't too difficult. As accounting teachers go, he's pretty good.

Bathke is a solid teacher. His Target packets are a bit scrambled and you have to buy too many. He gives a good amount of extra credit and tests are fair but challenging. I'd recommend him.

THE ONLY WORDS THAT CAN BE SAID ABOUT BATHKE IS "THE FREAKING MAN". VERY HELPFUL, EXPLAINS SUBJECT AND MATERIALS IN DEPTH, AND ALWAYS (ALWAYS, ALWAYS) ASKS IF THERE ARE ANY QUESTIONS (YOU HAVE TO TAKE BATHKE'S CLASS TO GET THAT JOKE) AWESOME GUY, ALWAYS IN HIS OFFICE HOURS TO HELP, AND WOULD DO ANYTHING TO HELP ANY STUDENT IN HIS CLASS.

He is such a nice guy and so helpful. If you go to his office hours he will make sure you leave without any questions. He's always happy, and you can tell he loves teaching. His tests were difficult, but if you go to class and do all the homework you should be fine because the questions on the test are almost exactly like the supplemental problems
