If you would like to learn German and appreciate the culture, this is your professor. He is kind and easy going, but not a pushover. I would highly suggest preparing as much of the workbook as you can BEFORE you get to class because it makes it a lot easier to keep up and not get lost. Dr. Hye cares about his students and is willing to help you. A+

fabulous! memorizing the vocab is important. in 101 i felt like had been thrown in H2O w/o first learnign how to swim, but after the first few weeks its not so bad. im glad i didnt drop it. very routine class. grades tests easy. do the workbook, read the readings. you know exactly what is expected of you. hes so nice too! he loves to help. patient.

Dr. Hye is one of the nicest professors one could ever have. He's always willing to help, his classes include far more interesting knowledge than just the required material. By the way- his German is perfect and not any different from any native speakers, I don't see where somebody was coming from saying he has an american accent.

pretty good, class gets hard towards the end and he ends up having to rush through it i think to fullfill the syllabus. Not his fault but makes it hard for students that have a hard time keeping up
