He barely stayed on topic during the 2.5 hr lecture. Barely knew his syllabus; I had to remind him when assignments were due. Don't buy the books he assigns, you won't read them. He assigns long papers but if you do poorly you have a chance to rewrite them. No tests. I skipped a few classes, didn't matter. Really cool dude but not the best teacher.

Paper assignments are long in the 15+ page range but graded fairly. While he is passionate, funny and interesting, if you've taken one of his classes, you've taken them all. I took 3 religion classes from him and felt like I learned almost the exact same material over and over again. Great guy, little to no variety in subject matter.

Dr. Richardson is a fascinating man! He is not only passionate about his job, he's passionate about his students success! Two take home exams, a term paper, and a term identification test. You have to be interested in this stuff prior to signing up. If not, you will not get much out of the class. I love Richardson. I plan on any course he offers!

Interesting class, lectures got sidetracked at times but were always interesting. Assigned reading was very useful in class discussion and writing assignments. Grading is fair and he allowed us to rewrite and resubmit our papers. I'd definitely take another of his classes.

Death & Dying was an amazing class to take! Dr. Richardson is a great professor & you can tell he really enjoys his job. In this class we wrote 2 papers, 1 research paper, and had a take home final (only 4 questions). He also invited a coranor to come in and talk to the class. He showed pictures of crime scenes--gross & cool!!

Dr. Richardson is an amazing professor! He really cares about what is is talking about and makes you care too. He is also the nicest guy. He really cares about his students, and if you explain to him that for some reason you don't have something read/done then he will understand and just tell you to drop it off for him later. One of my favorites!!

Don't bother buying books for any of Richardson's classes. I've taken three courses with him and never actully had to open a book. What a waste of money! Definitely take his classes, though, he's interesting and very easy to do well for.
