Rioux is easily one of my top 3 favorite professors at UT. I've had him for CSET-1100, CSET-4100, and CSET-4750, and have spent a lot of time chatting with him about everything from beer to getting Java EE running on FreeBSD. He's energetic, knowledgeable, charismatic, and has a great cynical sense of humor. TAKE HIM WHENEVER POSSIBLE!

He kinda grows on you after a while. When I first showed up I wasn't sure if I would like him, but he's pretty sweet. If you ask a question he always answers it to the point and if you are still confused he will help you after class. Genuinely good man.

This guy is awesome. Do yourself a favor and study up before class and pick this guys brain, because he really knows his stuff. I'm now studying for my CCNA, and I can say that I have gained a solid foundation of understanding in networking from this class. He makes the class fun also.
