She is an amazing professor! Though her class does require reading childrens books, reading guides, and writing papers it is worth it!She is a very caring person and will always help you if you need it.

She is literally the best professor I have had at MSU. She is always willing to help and gives you plenty of opportunities to do well in her class. There IS a lot of busy work spread out over the whole reading block. BUT she does accept late work, and will work with you if you do not get it done right away. HIGHLY recommend.

I was apprehensive about taking Dr. Gill because of post I had read on this site but didm't have a choice. Dr. Gill was great! She was helpful and prepared us well for our practicum. She was always available for extra support and ideas if we didn't know where to take our lesson. She gave ample opportunities to get an A in her class. Love her!

Dr. Gill is one of the worst professors I have ever had. She makes you read over 200 children's books, which are only available during weekdays in the CMC - you cannot check them out. She makes you write four papers which she grades very hard on and gives little feedback. Her assignments are just busy work. Avoid this professor at all costs.

Such a wonderful teacher! Knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and willing to work with you outside of class. Teaches useful content and teaching applications as well. I highly recommend her!

Dr. Gill is a great teacher who knows her subject well and is fairly laid back. I'd definitely recommend her for reading block. She is a cheerful person and easy to talk to if you have problems in the class!
