I took people and cultures of latin america. I am graduating in may and she has been one of my favorite teachers at UCF. I am not an anthro major, but she is fascinating. great stories of her life with the tribes and peoples in the amazon and elsewhere. Brings in skulls, clothes, tools, etc for show and tell awesomeness!

This class is very interesting and Dr. Stearman covers every aspect of it. She often relates things to our lives and also tells the class about her work in South America. She grades hard when it comes to the required research papers, but her tests are easy if you attend class. Recommend this professor to anyone!

She was in the Peace Core and has interesting stories. You have to read 3 small books. Tests are pretty easy if you read the books and go to class. She posts a review every friday of the weeks notes.

lectures are long but she keeps it interesting enough. tests are the only grades, and they aren't exactly easy, i mean, you have to study and read the material. but if you do, you should do ok. i studied half-heartidly most times and got a B in the class.

She is an amazing teacher!!!!!! If you go to class -which by the way you will want to b/c they are very interesting - you will do fine. She emails study guides after every class. As long as you go to class, take notes, do some of the readings, and study with you study guide you will get an A.

Don't bother taking this class if you aren't an anthropology major. It has some interesting aspects but can be boring. Lots of reading! She emails SG but you need to attend class regularly to understand.

Great class, great teacher. There is a lot of reading, but if you take good notes and study the study guides she gives out, there is no reason you should not ace the tests. There are no trick questions. No attendence policy, great lectures, very nice lady. I wish more teachers were like Dr. Stearman

What a interesting and nice professor. I find Dr. Stearman's class to be refreashing. There is no busy work or BS work. There are only 3 grades in the class which are based on 3 tests. No homework assignments, no attendence, no stress. She e-mails you study guides and has great lectures.

I forgot the course code. The actual name of the class is Peoples of the World, but could not fit it into box. She is an awsome lady. Very smart and kind. Talks with a really soft voice. Study guides are helpful for tests. She is an anthropologist who has done her own work in Bolivia. Interesting.
