Comment:
This teacher assigns way to much work. Is not flexible with assignments/grades. Her grading for blackboard responses isn't specific and grading for that felt unfair and inconsistent. The test required too much work for 2hrs. But she gives very in depth lectures, suggest not missing class (give 3 absences). A lot of work for the final paper.

Prof Wattley is the nicest woman you'll ever meet. She is also very helpful when it comes to grading, because she clearly states what needs to be fixed so you can get a better grade. However, she is boring.

Kind - will never yell or discipline you. HOWEVER.. she does not know how to teach. All she does is stand in front of the class and write on the board - lots of writing on the board. No technology or videos. You will fall asleep. She does nothing to help you b/c a better writer - no feedback. Just assigns you work and makes you read like 10 books!

To start off, Professor Wattley is an extremely nice lady. As a professor however, she is very dry, boring, and confusing professor. She reads the board word for word, so paying attention does nothing since you can look at the lectures later. She says "UM" and "MHM" about 1000 times per class. That was my favorite part of class. Keeping count.

Wattley is the nicest lady but the other reviews are right, she very dry and boring. The instructions for her papers are the most confusing things you'll ever read. Gives a lot of homework because you have to revise some of the for the portfolios. I wouldn't say shes a hard grader but not an easy one. kind of treats it like a higher level class

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!! Very boring and dry. She talks to the whiteboard the entire class writing down notes. There is no connection between teacher and student. Her papers are impossible. Don't bother trying because she grades incredibly hard. The revisions are also hard to please with her. She appears nice but doesn't make sense when grading.

This is the most boring and dry class ever. She is very nice and sweet but you read answer questions and write essays on the readings. Make sure you use everything on the board she writes in your papers. It was one of the worst classes I took take a different teacher if you can.

Professor Wattley is the sweetest woman ever. She's warm and welcoming, but if I'm being honest there was no interaction between student and teacher. The class is boring but it's not hard. There were 4 papers in total and 2 portfolios. Nice woman. Guaranteed a good grade if you do the work.

Worst teacher i've had at pace. Was possibly gonna minor in communications until this class. Her comments on papers make no sense. Don't spend more then 2 hours per paper because you'll have to do it over again anyway. Avoid at all costs if you don't want a D.

The class is really dry. You read readings and write papers comparing the readings. That's what is class consists of and like I said its compared to watching paint dry

She is incredibly dull and makes no attempt to relate to students. Also incredibly passive aggressive when she makes comments on papers and has the "high and mighty" attitude, and no matter how hard you try, you will still get a bad grade on your papers. Worst class I've ever taken. Also gives crazy amounts of busy work you will never use in class.

Very very harsh grader. The class is very boring. Going to meet with her for extra help is practically pointless because it does nothing. She doesn't explain what she means. Even when the changes are made the grade will still be low. Her comments sometimes make no sense. I've taken harder english classes, this class was by far the worst!

Has no emotion, does not make any attempt to relate to the students. Talks to the whiteboard for the entirety of class....also a difficult grader. Do not expect anything in class that you couldn't find in the book

She smiles louder than she speaks--is not one of those teachers really involved in her students, but she gets the job done. Her class is about as interesting as watching paint dry because it's 100% notes from the textbook, but she isn't that harsh...I got an A- in her course. She's very friendly, too...just don't expect to be entertained.

Online course. Had to write 10 posts per week on the readings which were sometimes long. Two papers, annotated bibliography, paper outline. Two exams. She was a tough grader. I did everything in my power to get an A and wound up with an A-. She is understanding enough. I was in the hospital for 3 days and she waived my assignment that week.

I would say I am a decent writer and I found this class virtually impossible. Steer clear of this professor if you do not want to work for hours on an assignment for which you will receive no feedback. I found this online course to be a one-sided, self taught class. I learned a lot from the text but nothing from the professor. Terrible.

HORRIBLE! This was an online course that was IMPOSSIBLE to get an A in. Class averages were low for every required assignment. I spent way more than the 3hours required for a regular class on her DEMANDING assigns. Very Strict on EVERYTHING, expect no leway or understanding. I didnt need the class but had a real interest in it, now i regret it!!!
