AVOID THIS GUY. The class is very tough and the tests don't match up all that well with the online homework through the textbook. His teaching style is not good at all. Grade break down is: Participation10% Final Project10% TESTS (3 TOTAL)80%!!!!! If you are not the greatest test taker, DO NOT take his class! It's a big risk with this guy.

Tough class and it's a struggle. 3 exams consist of 80% of the class and 20% goes to homework and a project. He is a nice guy, but not a good professor. The powerpoints, notes, and homework do not help all that much with the tests and they can be overwhelming

Not a bad guy, means well and tries to teach class professionally. Lectures and homeworks do not correlate well with tests. My notesheet I would create would help me minimally. Made for the finance adept

very boring and dry professor but he is straight forward. exams count for 90% of the class and you are allowed a handwritten note sheet. by far the most boring professor ive had in Whitman. wouldnt recommend him because he is so boring but at the end of the day he is a pretty fair grader

Miserable! just four weeks into class. His teaching is just fit for graduate students, not undergraduate or you have to have a good knowledge of financial industry. Too much information and does not answer your question exactly always leave a hole that is confusing.

The only reason this guy gets a bad rep is because the finance students lack the ability they should have - sorry not sorry. If you have desire to do well he will get you there. Personally received 100's on 2 out of 3 tests and have no idea how people managed to do so poorly. Very smart and for the most part very clear- avail out of class if not

Really nice teacher. But you have to work really hard in his class. The way I was able to do well was by doing all the practice problems in the textbook before the test. Even then, I still had issues. He does give a review sheet for the first test and his office hours are helpful. Class is mandatory because there are no ppt slides posted.

Very professional and concise with his requirements. Always willing to explain examples and take the time to help students. Tests can be difficult, but only if students do not prepare. One of the best professors I've had in Whitman

OK guys he just came from University of Central florida, and fail about 10 of his graduating seniors, good teacher but very hard expects a lot from his students, test are VERY hard our first test average was like 69 or 70 and DOES NOT believe in curving good luck!!
