Dr. Jha was an okay prof, not my favourite though. He is pretty clear in his lectures and seems to care about the success of his students, in chemistry and in general. He does however lack a bit of enthusiasm and can be a little hard to listen to. He is nice, you just have to get used to his personality. Also, don't expect him to recognize you!

Comment:

By far the most boring person to listen to in the entire world. Very unorganized. Was clear he did not care about the course. Never posted assignments or returned midterms when he said he would. Would absolutely never take a course with him. The material was actually interesting to learn on your own but class was unbearable.

His accent isnt as bad as people say, and its not him that makes the class not enjoyable, its the chemistry. I find chemistry very difficult and even sitting in the classroom was a snooze fest. I ended up skipping a lot and reading and studying notes from his very nicely done power points. Weekly assignments, 3 midterms, and a final.

Dr. Jha is an excellent professor for topics in biochemistry, CHEM 4723, as his research background is medicinal chemistry. The course required a thorough background in organic chemistry, so those interested in taking this course should keep the following in mind: testing is on structural modification of drugs, assignments are quite content heavy.
