Absolutely dreaded going to his class. BORINGGGG and lecture heavy, if you don't have the notes you won't pass the class. But his tests were easy open textbook and cheat sheets. Final was hard. I had no clue what was going on everyday. He is so annoying to listen to and offered zero extra help. So confusing and so much homework. Grades easy tho

If your taking the online class over the winter, you basically have to teach yourself and your workload is huge. No power points and the few notes you get aren't the most helpful. Tests are not too difficult.

A little hard to understand, but he writes everything down exactly how he says it. Thoroughly goes through questions, sometimes 2 take up the whole class. He is a boring professor, but willing to explain everything again. Homework once a week straight out of the textbook. Class super easy up until after midterms then it got challenging

Hes an amazing professor. He writes down every single thing that he says and the homework is easy for the most part. I wish I could have him for MAT258.

His accent can be hard to understand but you get used to it. I suck at math but if you stay on top of your homework and study youll do fine. You get to use two pages of notes on midterms and four pages for the final. You also get to use the textbook for the exams as well. His examples on the board are almost identical to the ones on the test!

He's pretty good. His tests are very easy and you get to use the textbook during it too. I'm not a math guy at all, but have an A- in the class, if you want an A in stats definitely take him. My only complaints are that his accent is tough to understand sometimes and class can get very dry with him. But he knows his stuff and explains it well.

Took him for stats A, he is a good teacher! the class can drag and he does give weekly hw assignments but i recommend tutoring or seeing him for extra help. the first half of the semester was easy then it got really complicated after. he is good when it comes to tests because he makes them easier than you would expect. take him if uneed this class!

Comment:

Nanthakumar is a good teacher that has a funny in an educational type way. Though sometimes hard to understand, you'll understand everything because everything that he says is written on the board. You'll take a lot of notes but the tests are very similar to his practice questions and you'll even be allowed to use the textbook during the tests.

Very good teacher. He writes the notes on the white board so it is easy to follow along and understand the notes. It seems like he gets annoyed when asked stupid questions. He makes the tests very easy. There are only three tests and a final and the there are only four questions on each test and you pick any three you questions you want.

Great professor, had biostats 4 days a week this summer. Thick accent, but he goes slow, makes sure everyone understands, and writes notes for everything he says. Easy HW with plenty of time to finish. Choose one question from HW to grade as a quiz. Willing to help one on one. Test were short and easy. 20+ years experience in statistics. Easy A.

By far the best Stats teacher at Oswego, I took another stats class at Oswego and did terrible in it. His accent isn't terrible and you get used to it. He is very helpful and is a great teacher who is knowledgeable and shows an interest in what he's doing. He makes the practice problems easy. i would highly suggest taking this with him!

WAY WAY WAY easier than Mat158. His tests are pretty easy and he lets you use 2 sheets of paper on both sides for each one! His notes are easy to follow and the homework and quizzes are really easy! great professor!
