There is a lot of work that goes into this class but she gives you more than one chance to do everything, even exams. I don't know how anyone would get below an A in her class. She answers emails right away and thoroughly explains topics that you don't understand. She is the best professor I have had at CMU.

Ms. Lilienfeld is a nice lady, however, she is very disorganized in her teaching and is extremely difficult to follow. Her tests are insanely difficult, though she does grade on a curve (thank God!) Slow to hand back assignments and grade tests. She shows a lot of bizarre foreign films. Her content & teaching is too hard for a 101 class.

She is a very nice lady.. but very odd. There is way too much content in this course for a 100 level UP. Don't take this class. I found myself working harder at this class than for my major. There is just so much information and she speeds through it and gets frusrtated if you ask questions. I dreaded going to this class.. It's hard!

Amy is great. I took this class online. It wasent a really easy A but easy enough. Open book exams and quizzes. She really cares and trys in every way to make sure everyone understands. I would definently recomend this class. Lots of extra credit opportunities!!!

Amy is awesome. There's never homework, she goes ever all the labs in class, and usually just gives 100% on them. She's very helpful if you have questions. She learns everyone's names and makes sure most people understand. Take her! Easy U.P credit (and lab)!

This teacher is awesome!!!!!...... Screw off man I'm kidding she is horrible treats the class like little kids very annoying voice, (i can't even fall asleep) it takes her an hour to explain 2 things and im like are u kidding me, but if you can stand all of this her tests are easy they are graded on such a curve i ace the tests and dont study.

Amy is an excellent teacher. I've found that there are a lot of people on here that want to trash her rep., but keep in mind that THEY are likely the idiots, not Amy. If you attend class, study the lecture outlines, and complete the extra credit (she offers A LOT!!), then you should not have much trouble getting the grade you want in her class.

I recommend this class. Lecture was broken up with lab exercises and films so the class went really fast. Amy also explains things very well and is always willing to take time if you do not understand. Exams are hard, but fair.

Amy is a very nice, funny, weird lady. She may not be the clearest prof in the world but she will do a lot to help you suceed. Her tests aren't that tough and since this is a lab class, her labs are pretty easy too. Its the best choice I think if you have to take a lab class.

AMY LILIENFELD is the DUMBEST professor at CMU. There is NO telling how she was even hired by the university or how she earned a degree. She is all over the place. She can't even walk in a straight line or teach in one. She jumps around alot and is very unorganized which could confuse students when it comes to learning. DONT TAKE HER FOR ANYTHING.

I understand why she teaches this course, because she knows the material, however I dont understand how she was able to get a teaching job. She is very sparatic, often unprepared, poor outlines for notes, tends to forget alot of things and is on the ditsy side (Not trying to be mean). She does offer extra credit (if your getting a C- avg.)

Great teacher, very nice and helpful. You can tell she really cares about Geography. The tests are pretty hard and random but if you go to class you get full points for most assignments. This class counts as a UP Lab, definitely reccommend taking it for this.

Comment:

She's crazy. Always talking about ethnic food no matter what region she's discussing. Rarely stays on topic and hands out handouts that she doesn't use. The only way to get a good grade is to suck up to her and sit in the front of the class. Read your book, go to extra credit movies.
