If you're bad at math and need this course to finally be done with it, take her class. She's unlike any other math teacher I've ever had, the way she explains things actually makes sense and she doesn't make you learn unnecessary equations and terms.

She cares so much about her students! She actually teaches the material and does not move on until everyone understands it. She is always willing to help and meet outside of class. She is a very fair grader and understands math isn't for everyone. Attendance isn't mandatory but you risk missing a pop quiz. The lowest 2 quiz grades are dropped.

The best professor Ive had at GVSU. So helpful and actually taught me math, unlike anyone I ever had in high school. Definitely take her if you struggle with math, because she will go out of her way to help you! Great teacher!!

Professor Oostdyk is one of the greats. She helps you get through lab as fast as you want, but still helps you understand the material. Her nerdy side helps you get at least kind of interested in the physics you're learning. Great prof and person!

Amy is pretty nerdy, but nice. She does her best to help you get the right answer and it's not uncommon for her to show you the answer key if she isn't quite sure herself. Nice lab instructor; I wouldn't mind having her again.

Amy was a great lab instructor. Even though she didn't get a degree in physics she is always helpful. If you are stuck on a question she will gladly help you, sometimes she will just give you the answer if absolutely don't know it so you won't loss points. She's great.

She is terrible and had no interest in teaching and told the students so. She had many bad reviews on rate my prof and it looks like she managed to deleted them somehow. I looked at the next year of classes and it doesn't look like she is teaching any more. Thankfully.

She is a halfway decent teacher but she is never prepared, has not read the textbook, and frequently makes mistakes on the board. She wastes time talking about her kids. I would never take any class from her again.
