she knows what she is talking about and expects you to know too. She is very helpful if you see her during her office hours;; she grades really hard but you end up cleaning up all the **** out of your writing so you learn a lot. i enjoyed the topics discussed and the films we watched.

I was NOT impressed with amy leigh... She's just not that interesting. She scribbles cryptic notes all over your papers that are in no way helpful. Who knows what she wants on the screening reports, she's def. not saying ... The movies are interesting though.

Very accessible & just plain nice. Office hours for papers- very helpful. If you do the readings and really try to engage yourself with the material, you'll do well. Also, anything that she offers as optional, do it. If you're on the line for a grade she'll give it to you if she feels you've made every effort.

face it, philosophy sucks, but peters makes it totally worth your time. papers are difficult, readings can be long and confusing, and quizzes are a little dumb, but not too bad. go to her office hours because she's such an interesting person to talk to. amazing person and professor, SO TAKE HER!

Prof Peters is a very knowledgable & accessible teacher. She's very passionate about film & philosophy. Casual atmosphere in class is conducive to comments from students. She's a tough paper grader, but her criticism is conductive & helpful. During office hours, she's very cordial & eager to help.

Her anger against her parents for choosing this mindless occupation is repeatedly mentioned by her in class, which creates a weird atmosphere. Anyhow, she has a lot of reading quizzes, and harps on the simplistic aspects of texts, but tests you on specifics. There are better teachers out there.

although there is a bit of a wait on paper returns, the feedback on it is well worth it. she's into the practical applications of philosophy, which is also a plus. A reading or two every week, rarely more than 20 pages total (some material is dense, however).

Professor Peters was an awesome teacher! She explains everything, plus she's just a cool lady. I was DREADING philosophy and this ended up being one of my favorite classes. She is strict on attendance, but her classes are entertaining so you won't mind.
