Professor Richter expects a lot of her students; you have to be willing to put in a lot of effort for her class. Expect her to encourage you to think critically. On a personal level, she can come off as being a little cool. Don't be misled; she's unfailingly professional, but understanding and empathic as well.

Professor Richter is so amazing. She assigns a lot of work, and you have to do the reading, but she is such a great teacher. She is very clear and makes class fun even when its an hour and fifteen minute lecture. I'm a freshman taking a 200 level class and with her help it has been a great class.

Not only is she an incredible professor who is interested in the topics that she teaches, she is also a really great academic advisor. She is always there to support and help you regardless of the situation and she will always do her best to get you the best grade possible, but you definitely have to work hard for it.

I took this class 3 years ago. As I prepare to graduate I can still feel the impression Prof. Richter Left on me. she is humerus,insightful,and cares deeply about her students growth and wellbeing. She remains one of the best Professors I've come across in my college career. I highly recommend taking advantage of one of her smaller courses.

Amy is a bright and beautiful person -- a most engaging woman -- who makes you work as hard as she had to work to attain the heights she's attained. She is also very cute, great hair, and so easy to love as an academic and person.

Don't take her classes if you are looking for an easy ride. This woman is stunningly brilliant and knowledgeable, but she's rough and somewhat unforgiving. She will shoot you down if you are a little bit wrong, and she will toughen your skin. Her exams are tough, but she's very fair. She reads exams multiple times to make sure the grade is fair.

I liked her until she pointlessly shut me down in class one day. Lady, I know WAY more about the gay rights movement than you do. The tests were okay, the papers relatively undemanding, and the class was pretty pointless for me to take. Not a waste of time, just not worth it.

Dr. Richter is witty, intelligent, and entertaining. If you are looking for an easy A, then don’t take her class. I was challenged in this class, but it was worth it. I have never learned so much in one semester and actually enjoyed it.
