Prof. Donat is one of my favorite professors. She is very knowledgeable about Spanish languages, and teaches the material in a very meaningful way. She gives great feedback and makes you feel comfortable in class. However, participation matters so don't skip classes. Also, her tests and exams weren't difficult at all. Awesome!

Ana Maria got a lot of knowledge. Her English is very good, but obviously she has an accent. Personally, I'd rather learn Spanish from a Spanish speaker than an anglophone. She knows what she's doing. She's very sweet and has a sens of humour. She's aware of the cost of the book and will never force you to buy it (photocopies are alright).

Prof. Donat is awesome! Her classes are a bit harder if you dont do the homework and dont participate on discussions. I've always been interested in the spanish culture and she got me more interested after span 100. Extra points on exams got me an A plus so make sure you attempt those when you are writing the exam.

She's a lovely lady. Easy marker, straightforward class, material covered concisely, and quizzes/tests were structured well (and an optional composition at the end was worth up to an additional 20%!). Whether speaking English or Spanish, she always makes sure that we understand. I put rather little effort in, and, to my surprise, received an A+ :)

By far the worst prof I have had. Her english is incomprehensible and she relies on the textbook to teach for her. If you have a question, she will refer you to the textbook to do excercises over again without any further explanation on the subject. Quite unhelpful. She is a sweet lady, but has no clue how to teach a university course.

Super passionate about spanish history and she really makes it come alive. She does use the text books alot so buy the recommended texts not just the required ones. She does have an accent but it's easy to understand. Great grader, if you do all the assignments and participate in class you will get a good grade.

Nice lady, but chronically late. I should have saved my money and just read the textbook. I learned nothing from her that wasn't in the book. Additionally tests are absolutely nothing like class, as she writes the test but the entirety of the course comes from the text.

Many of my classmates LOVED her, but I was having problems understanding her thick accent when talking in English, and her rapid pace when in Spanish, which caused me to fall behind in lectures and class. Class seemed to be more of a Spanish culture lecture than on the Spanish language. BUT she was always willing to help, and is really kind.

A terrible professor. She doesn't lecture. Actually speaking Spanish IN CLASS would be helpful. I don't recommend her and would never take another class with her.

Ana Maria is fair and tests you on the material you are expected to know. A problem is that many people take spanish as a slacker class and don't do labs or practice. This slows down class time and impedes progress for all. She tries to teach at the speed of learning in the class. Spanish is fun!

She is one of the rudest people I have ever met. She could not be more full of herself. She was unapproachable for questions and made you feel stupid for asking a question. Her tests were unbelievable...unreadable (print), unrelated, and she did not prepare her class for what she was to test them on

She does not really teach spanish in class, but goes over what a few students do wrong when speaking it. The homework is fairly easy if you study the text, but the tests are kind of hard.

Easy as pie if you want an A. Lots of homework, but not a hard class. If you took French in highschool, you will ace this class.
