First half of the semester went great. Dr. Jay has been a great teacher, and didn't make things too difficult but we still learned. Then all the sudden he kicks it in to over drive and dumps a bunch of homework on us, and crams in the last three tests in the last 3 weeks of class. Really wished he would have spaced things out better.

Comment:

Probably one of the best teachers in the math department. Prob&Stat relies heavily on Calc II but he knows that we may not remember everything from that class so he is always going over the calculus before moving on with the actual material. I really appreciated that.

This class is okay with Dr.Jay, He is always willing to help just make sure you write down everything he puts on the board. I struggled for some reason, I aced the quizzes and failed the tests. He likes to mix up the formatting between the 2 and it throws you off guard.

The first few days of class were hard to pick up his accent. However, he does help you if needed. He hands out weekly quizzes, so make sure to be in class every Friday. His test aren't long just very in depth. He does not give daily or weekly homework. I think my class had 4 for the whole semester and it was in excel...so very easy.

Took a few weeks to get into his style. Don't use many formulas, but have a formula sheet for each test. He wants you to understand the reasoning behind what you're learning. He's always willing do problems and help students out whether in class or during office hours. Wasn't a fan of the class at first, but now I really enjoy it.

This was a tough class, but if you keep up on the material and take lots of notes, it's not too bad. If you write down everything he puts on the board, you should have enough to study for tests. He reviews a lot, so it's not terrible. He is a lot of fun, even though the class is hard.

Sometimes his english is hard to understand, but he explains everything and reviews a lot. I didn't buy the book bc we don't turn in homework for this class. I had to go to class to take notes since I didn't buy the book. Quizzes every friday-easy grade do skip them.
