You will have a great time meeting her. The sounds will become boring. But after that it is all learning about what you want to be as in an actor. Finding who you are as an actor/actress

Andi = AMAZING! Most of my class earned an "A", but she said our class was brighter than all the ones she had in the past. Her teaching method is very hands-on. She gives wonderful insight with few words. She's always willing to help, even if you don't ask. She's the kindest, most genuine, and most professional professor in the department.

Andi is so great. Hands down my favorite class of the semester. 4 papers on Impro and The Actor in You and reviews of mainstages, 1 test, a couple quizzes and 3 scenes. Writing is important and she's a hard grader. This is not an easy A but it can be extremely fun! Theatre majors should hope and pray they get Andi for basic!!

This was a fun class, but I had a problem with her cursing. I know it doesn't bother a lot of students, but I find it offensive- especially when it's incorporated in a scene, and I have to say it. Also, I didn't like her attitude about grading. She virtually makes an A unattainable by reserving "100"s for pure genius work- I say give bonuses then!

Ok, if you're not a theatre major and you think that this will be an easy BS elective, YOU'RE WRONG! Lots of work, actually have to put a lot of time in scene prep. Class exercises are pointless and are meant for kindergartners. If you try really hard you might come up with a B. Not many A's in this class.

The class may seem stupid at first (a lot of time is spent on the floor the first two weeks), but Andi makes you really look at what makes and actor and what it takes to create believable characters. Course work graded by four portfolios. be thorough and thoughtful in your writing and you'll get a good grade and a great education. She's hilarious!

What a wonderful woman! She is unassuming and makes no judgements although she's slightly reserved. She flies under radar and really challenges you. The class is a great elective and the only joy i get out of JMU. Love her...live her...take it!

Awesome teacher!! Loves what she does and knows what she's talking about. Journal entry due every week, but not hard. Learned a lot in this class and not just about acting either. Really cares about her students and easy to talk to! Definitely recommend and would gladly take another class she teaches.

Andi is great. She helps notice how important simple things, like breathing, really are. You become more self-aware in your acting. You have to be patient for this class, but you have to be patient acting, too.

Great woman, pushes you to do what she knows you can. Beginning is lots of exercises but they help later on, especially if you have stage fright. A few papers and two acting grades. Very serious attendance policy, but do what she asks and it's fine
