Andrea Bolland is the best professor I've had. She's funny, honest, full of energy, and generally a joy to be around. If you can get yourself to be as excited about the subject as she is, you will pass any of her courses with ease. She grades on two or three assignments, so be ready for that. She's also a forgiving grader-very understanding.

No textbook and amazing lectures! Not necessary to attend but I would recommend going. It's so refreshing to see a professor who is so passionate about the subject matter she teaches. Graded solely on tests but she gives you the tools necessary to succeed, plus a bunch of extra credit.

Prof. Bolland is simply awesome! She is hilarious and is very passionate about the subject-it is clear how much she loves it. The only grades in the class are 3 tests throughout the semester. I wasn't interested in Art History, but she made it very enjoyable. Take good notes and study and you'll be just fine.

Andrea Bolland takes a subject that is fairly dry and brings life into her lectures. You come away with a fair understanding of Art History from this time period. She is the kindest and the most interest lecturer I have seen. Very involved and very helpful. If you don't do well on tests, don't take her class though, since you'll need to remember the material she teaches. If you can remember what she teaches, you'll do well.

Professor Bolland is an amazing teacher. It's easy to tell that she really enjoys what she's teaching, which makes it enjoyable to the students. She gets really animated during her lectures, which makes it easy to pay attention. She's hilarious, and I really enjoyed her class, despite not having much interest in art before taking it.

Although I have no interest in art history, she makes it interesting and fun! You don't have to go to class but the information is MUCH easier to remember if you're there when she lectures about it. She is very passionate about it and so she puts a lot of emotion into it and helps make it less boring and more memorable. Not that hard of a class!

Eh, boring material, but at least she is very animated and passionate - likes to leap around and pronounce Italian words flamboyantly. Overall, not too hard for an Art History class, but she's a real stickler for correctness on exams/essays, so watch out.

Professor Bolland is WONDERFUL! Not only is she extremely knowledgeable about the subject matter she teaches, she is also hilarious (in a nerdy, oh gosh did she just say that? kind of way). She doesn't go off on tangents, is clear and concise and emphasizes key points to remember. TAKE HER CLASS if you need AHIS 102. You will not regret it.

she's a wonderful person, you can tell that she loves with she teaches and makes a what could have been boring class into an interesting one... I had some diffculty on the exams but most people did well. I've also heard 102 is easier than 101 :)
