Smart and knowledgeable, BUT not a really good teacher. Teaches his class thinking everyone is an art major scholar. His tests are fill in the blank and you have to write the perfect answer. His essay is not too difficult, but he is extremely tough on them. I went to every lecture, I studied so hard, and still didn't get an A. Not even a B...

He is a very difficult teacher. His style is boring, hard and makes you despise what you're learning. The class is interesting, but the mono-tone voice and humor makes this a class dread attending. He expects every specific detail to be remembered and written about when testing but test themselves are vague but he expects every detail.

The worst professors that I have taken, I am a -A to a B student. Never failed any courses, stay away his tests are ridiculous has slides have to say what it is by name spelling counts. He'll ask you what a Chaitya is which is a prayer hall or shrine, partial credit because I didn't put in the location when he didn't even ask for the location.

Waldron seriously is one of the greatest professors I've ever had. I've taken three classes with him. All there is is a midterm, final, and paper, but the lectures are crucial. You actually LEARN in his class, and he's extremely interesting and intelligent. You must study and be thorough, but it is well worth it.

Waldron is the greatest. The class is hard, and geared towards art majors. Keep in mind this is not the easiest way to get your Art 1000C requirement, but worth it. You WILL learn alot about art history. Read the chapters before the class. Listen and take extensive notes. and STUDY. Turn the paper earn early to get feedback, it will help your grade

This professor is self indulgant in himself. He assumes you have a masters degree in ART when he teaches. DON'T listen to anyone here, he HATES his students and his OBJECTIVE is to FAIL you. He is the WORST professor at SJU. He is an unfair grader and I will write a letter to his departmant chair detailing his attitude towards students in general.

One of my favorite professors at SJU. Mostly lecture based, but the lectures help in better understanding readings. Does a great job of breaking concepts down for students. Class breakdown: midterm, paper, and final. Study key terms, NOTES, and skim chapters for both exams. All in all, a lot of work but a TON of fun if you want to learn!

But theres a lot of material covered in the class and a lot to know, but he explains everything in class, and is somewhat entertaining. An amazing professor! Knows his stuff and explains EVERYTHING. Lazy people stay away, he'll spot you a mile away. Very thorough, very clear. Everything that shows up on the midterm and final is well-presented and gone over completely. There was never a wasted class. Though, because all the information is pertinent, attendance should be mandatory for your own benefit. Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable professor. Inspired me to take on Art History as a minor.
