Really interested in her subject and always willing to help outside of class. Will sit and go over questions with you for as long as you want and always has candy! Sometimes her drawings can get a little confusing/disorganized feeling, but just make sure to bring lots of colored pens to class and you'll be set!

I loved taking a class with Andrea. It was a challenging class, so I had to put in a lot of work on my own outside class to understand the concepts, but she is very clear and repeats herself often, which is helpful. She gives candy all the time. She's easy to talk to. Definitely recommend taking a class with her.

Andrea was one of my favorite Colby professors. She is a wonderful lecturer and you can tell she LOVES biology, which makes it so fun to be in her class. She is kinda quirky and nutty, which makes her all the more endearing. Incredibly helpful outside of class and very encouraging of student research interests. One of the best Colby professors!!

Andrea was always available for help and gave up weekend afternoons to help us in the lab, but I feel as though it was difficult to figure out what she wanted for tests (largely essay and it seemed impossible to write enough.)
