He is good. Not great, but good. there were four essays in the class I took and I felt that were graded evenly. He isn't the most exciting teacher in class, but he does get the point across. If you aren't that great at ENGn (or if you are) he is a solid choice, as long as you don't mind boring lectures.

Mr. Ball is easily one of my favorite teachers at BCTC. He explains everything that he expects out of his students and is very helpful when it comes to extra questions about the assignments. He made me love english again. Expect to write A LOT of essays.

very soft spoken guy but really nice and a easy grader. There are about three major paper that are only 750-1000 words. Allows you to re-write the paper with his corrections and will gives you the average grade of the two papers. So you can receive a 70 and make his corrections and get a 100 then average a 85 in one major paper.

If you are looking for a cakewalk, this is the class for you. He is a very soft-spoken man, and is a bit disorganized. The classes workload is comprised of a small writing assignment each week and four big papers. That pretty much sums up the course.

Mr. Ball is a great teacher. He is quick to respond to any questions and his grading is stern yet fair. For the online class I've only had to write 3 papers which isn't bad for an English class. The discussion questions are simple and fun to interact with others. I would definitely choose Mr. Ball as a teacher again if I could.

He was very nice. Kind of awkward in a sense. He tried to be funny but was anything but. Easiest college class. Easy A if you show up and do the homework. It's not a hard class at all, but I wouldn't take it if you get bored easily.
