Math is for sure my weak spot. Ms. Pelfrey is thorough but I don't find her to be very helpful or approachable. She is quick to make you feel stupid for asking a question, which I have ALOT of. I have basically relied on a tutor the whole semester to keep an A. She's not the worst, but definetly not the best. She is also pretty verbally aggressive

i seriously hate math so much but she has made the class extremely easy. she is very blunt at times but as long as you come to class and take notes and do your homework it becomes very easy. i recommend her to everyone she is awesome

This is the first math instructor who hasn't made me suffer through mymathlab and I give her 5 stars solely because of that reason. Her homework is optional so if you truly want to learn, it's up to you.

She's very no nonsense, meaning you won't get help if you won't help yourself and are on your phone during class. BUT if you are there to learn she's more than happy to help in any way including outside the classroom. Will give partial credit which not all math teachers will do. Most quizzes are open note and you can work with your classmates on.

Pelfrey is an amazing professor, she goes over anything you might be having trouble with even if its the simplest thing. Shes patient and fast. You have to go to her lectures to pass. She helps with the quizzes and tests sometimes and shes willing to help you outside of class. I recommend taking her!!!! Shes great

I started college in my late 20s and I was treading water in my remedial math classes. I barely passed them and made it into MAT 150 with Professor Pelfrey. Math had gone from being my least favorite class, to something I've started to do for fun. It has meant the world to me to have a math teacher who actually teaches!

if you don't get the material the first time your screwed i had to teach myself. she talks fast and writes sloppy to were you can't read it. there will be types of problems on homework she didn't go over in class. if you ask questions or get a question wrong she will bite your head off.

If it wasn't for Ms. Pelfrey, I wouldn't have passed math at all. If any of you guys are like me, and have struggled to grasp math concepts, or just plain terrified of the subject in general, then Ms. Pelfrey will save your life! I can't tell you how many times she met with me to tutor me and help me. Hands down, best professor I've ever had!

Best math teacher ever! She is very organized, clear, helpful, and devoted. She will do anything to help you succeed, as long as you also put in the effort. It should be mentioned, she can seem a little grumpy, but she's really a softy. Don't let her scare you on the first day; she's great! Also, she uses the textbook (nothing online).

She will help you..... if she's in the mood. Depending on her mood she will be helpful and answer your questions. Except, for the most part, she is rude, sarcastic, and if you didn't get it the first time she explained it, then too bad. I would not recommend her if you have a hard time with math. I honestly would never recommend her to anyone.

Ms. Pelphrey is one of the coolest teachers I've had. She explains things in a simple easy to understand way and is always available to help and responds almost immediately to emails. She is hilarious and will cut up with her students. She doesn't get mad when you joke around and it's awesome learning complex math in a country accent.

We always have homework but you never really turn it but once or twice. I'm not very good at testing but she is helpful with figuring out problems before hand. She makes math as easy as she can. A very nice woman. Just don't talk too much in her class I've seen her get serious about that with people.

I took her for math 108 and 109. She tells you exactly what you need to know and explains it very clearly. She may not come off as a super sweet lady at first but if you come to class u will learn alot. She is the best math teacher I have ever had!

She is an excellent teacher! She is fairly laid back. She would get a little aggravated when people would ask questions, but overall she is very nice. I learned so much and actually understood what she was explaining. You can miss a max of 6 days, but if you miss a quiz or test, she lets you make them up.

I am HORRIBLE at Math but still got an A. Most of the time she lets you use a half sheet of paper as a "cheat sheet" where you can write anything down on it. She is very nice about explaining things if you don't understand the first time and doesn't mind to help you out outside of class if it is during her office hours. I would deffinitly recomend.

She told us to ask questions and then when I did she bit my head off and treated me like I was an idiot. She didn't help me at all. She was hard to follow so I ended up teaching most of it to myself.
