Comment:
Dr. Johnson tells you one thing in class and does another. He is not even a Special Education teacher!!! By the way, he write his own "books". Yes, books that are about whacky ideas he comes up with. He also doesn't know basic grammar, making his test very difficult to complete. If I were you, I would drop out. :(

Comment:
Take the class with someone else! Dr. Johnson gave little to no direction on in-class assignments then tore student work apart until it mirrored his unknown expectations. He used incorrect names for students, he cussed at students, and overall made it difficult to engage in his classroom. HIs exams are worded in misleading ways and extremely vague!

Professor Johnson is very sure he knows the one and only correct way. Doesn't make space for class discussion; answers ?'s by repeating himself verbatim. Unclear grading standards. You are unlikely to be assigned any reading/resources that he didn't create, so there's no diversity of opinion. If you can take the class with someone else, do so.

He did kind of tease students in our class who he knew prior to the semster. At times, the project expectations were confusing, but he was very helpful with answering questions. One of my favorite SPED classes so far.

Horrible teacher. Doesn't give you feedback at all..doesn't explain assignments at all!! Don't expect much you will probably fail. Decided to change the whole course with only 5 weeks left! This is the worst teacher I have ever had in the special education program!!! Good luck

Worst class I've ever taken. As a professor he makes the college look bad. Just watches his videos on youtube and you will understand what kind of semester you are in for

Possibly the worst teacher in the world. Humiliates students. Pretends he is funny and wastes time in class. Takes forever to grade assignments. Gives poor feedback and poor instructions on assignments. Hates anyone not 100% liberal. Will give you a bad grade if you speak up in class.

He could be the worst teacher in the world. If you look up the word arrogant in the dictionary, his photo is right next to it. Never gives help, hates any boys in class and has pre-determined grades for all the students. He is a sad role model for teachers becuase all he does is make the students feel unwanted.

Andy had great ideas, gave a lot of opportunities for students to learn, sought student feedback and would modify instruction and expectations for student needs. I enjoyed his class. He knows what he is talking about, and his unique approach to teaching (holistic approach) keeps the course interesting.

Comment:
Very unclear expectations. Assignments and some tests are rated based on criteria that Andy fails to share with the students until after he grades them. He may also change criteria in midsemester. If I were a beginning student and I knew I had to take 3 more courses from Andy, I would not be a teacher today.
