Becky is a very nice, laidback person. For me personally, I felt like we could have spent more time in class really digging deep into a problem and solving it the simplest way possible, but Becky loves to take longers ways. Which leaves me very confused. Great personality, great passion for math, but does need to explain 3 or 4 times to understand.

Becky has a way with explaining challenging concepts. She has a methodical, yet playful manner of lecturing, which by the end I felt I understood a subject that I had little grasp of after reading the text. Becky gives a ton of homework, but it prepared, even over-prepared, me very well for the tests. It did not hurt that I laughed a lot in class

This was my first math class after several years, so I was a bit worried, but Prof Becky did a great job explaining everything clearly and making sure to go over things well whenever someone didn't understand. She used a lot of real-world examples and did some fun class activities, too. Don't leave homework to the last minute like I did, though.

Becky is a colorful person but as a student taking a class from a professor I prefer to learn then to have a social hour about unrelated things. In class she blows over topics quickly and most of the times doesn't even know the answers, you literally show up to class for attendance and have to TEACH YOURSELF AT HOME.

Becky is super sweet! I took her for both Math210A and B. Although there was a bunch of homework, as long as you don't let it accumulate all at once and you should be fine. The group projects are also very interesting, and she does not care about whether you got the correct answer or not, she grades you on how you demonstrate your thought process.

Becky is enthusiastic, kind, funny, eccentric and intelligent. Encourages a lot of participation and group work to get conversations flowing. For an elementary teaching class the concepts may be hard to grasp. She does a good job explaining. Alot of mymathlab hw. I'm talking 3 hours a week min. Hard but doable. dont buy book just access code.

The number one complaint I had with this class, was the volume of work in a short amount of time. Her 210A/B classes are 8 weeks long, the same length of Summer classes, and she does not adjust accordingly, like a normal person. She assigns roughly 100 problems of homework/quizzes a week on MyMathLab. She is big on group work and projects. Avoid.

Best math teacher I've had. She is very mellow, calm, and sweet. She does get frustrated and angry if students do not participate as the class includes lots of group work and presentations plus that need to stay active and chatty throughout the class. Projects were kind of difficult and so is homework. Overall I enjoyed Becky's class.

Professor Wheelock was great. She is really peppy and outgoing. Could be annoying depending on your mood. She can be unclear at times with some of her projects. All of the work is on mymathlab. Don't fall behind and you should be golden.

One of the best Math classes I took she helps out as much as possible. A lot of homework but do it there is weekly tests will drop or raise your grade and help out with the midterms.

Friendly, personable and encouraging teaching style. She breaks ideas down so that you can understand the more complex concepts that you'll get into. Keep up with the homework (which can be a lot of practice problems at times), you'll need the practice for the quizzes which can greatly sway your grade. Love to take her again for another course!

By far the worst classroom experience in my life. Most days she lets class out early and spends most of the time we are in class talking about her family or other unrelated things. Gives practice tests before exams but refuses to answer questions or give the answers. Has no office hours. I had to struggle through the textbook to teach myself stats

I loved loved Becky. She has a good relationship with her students and really wants to help you. Having a quiz every week instead of exams on bigger sections helped a lot in the comprehension. It was the first A I'd ever had in Math so I was happy with the class.

really nice lady and funny, but i would have rather taken the class online, going to class was not much helpful. She expains things really well, but for me it was a waste of time to go to class when all i had to do was look at the text book.

I took Becky's Math 46 class during spring 2011. For not being the best at algebra I was surprised that I tested into the class after almost 10 years of not being in school. She is a great teacher, willing to review material more than once, and tries to connect with the students. I would recommend her.

This professor is AWESOME!! SHE ROCKS! I would take any class she teaches:) After being out of school for over 10 years she made it a smooth transition for me back into school. She is very helpful, understandable, and takes her time. She made the class fun,interesting and a good learning environment. Homework , quiz, midterm and finals were fair.

She is a really fun teacher. Kinda kooky. In her Math 103 class we used Math XL so really not much of the book, but her study guides aren't very good because she didnt give the answer to it. so I did use the book and the answer guide. If you are confused though, she does help you break it down. And she does deffinitely notice participation.
