Tell him you are a CIS major and he will love you. Make sure your table of contents on your group project is on point (pretty sure thats all he reads) and show up you will be fine.

His lectures are at times very confusing and a lot of the times you may not understand what he is talking about but overall he is an awesome professor who loves his students and has a lot of wisdom to share. Just take notes, don't be late and pay attention and you will get an A.

Its an easy A not the best prof. ever, but he is a cool guy. He is nice and lectures are getting better, very hard to understand because he is from poland. You wont learn a lot from him but you will get an A

Terrible professor, but easiest class in my life!!! Attendance is mandatory, so if you can manage to just show up to every class- you will get an A. Most of his lectures are irrelevant... he's a talker. He's the easiest grader ever though! Sometimes I don't even think he looks at what you turned in, but just gives you an A for simply turning in.

While I like the guy as a human being, he is not a good teacher. I literally didn't earn anything about CIS, he just talks about all of his successes and how important he is. It's honestly more of a history class than a CIS class, if you want to actually learn take this class with another professor.

One of the worst professors WMU has to offer. Assigns long papers which he hardly reads before assigning a grade. Thick accent makes him very difficult to understand. Often spends 5+ minutes of each class moving students seats around the room for no reason. Easy A but you learn NOTHING & have to deal with extreme arrogance and being talked down to

As you can see from the previous ratings, you either love him or you hate him. If you want to actually learn the course material of CIS 2700 do not take this class. If you want to listen to priceless life and career advice from a man who has seen it all, and get an A while doing so, then take this class. You'll just have to get past his arrogance.

Dr. Targowski likes to talk about history - mainly polish or European - and how he defines wisdom. While those are interesting subjects to discuss they do not necessarily need to take up a large portion of a class about IT Management. The textbook he wrote is also somewhat outdated (2003) for a subject that changes yearly.

The fact this guy is a professor blows my mind. Completely useless! He was super easy though. If you can stand a semester of a guy talking about how IBM stole his idea for the Internet and talking down to you about any and all of your ideas, then this is your guy. I waited until the very last semester to take him.

This class was a JOKE. I am an honors student, and found myself struggling to learn. Targowski is a very smart man, but he DOES NOT teach. The notes and book don't line up at all, and half of the stuff on his review sheet doesn't make sense. He mostly talks about his life and books, and other stuff that has no relevance. TAKE WITH ANOTHER PROF!

He's an incredibly smart man, but he doesn't do much to teach us. He has terms for things that aren't in his book, or google for that matter. He assigns two students to essentially run the class, and openly criticizes them if they make a mistake. The work has very little direction, if you have a question, ask a student.

Openly mocks students in class. Wrote his own wiki and cites himself. Very pompous and teaches very little. Spends many classes talking about his own exploits and talking poorly about others. Took a two week vacation in the middle of class but required students to attend class. Horrible, I have learned nothing. His "genius" is only certified by him

Taking Dr. Targowski's class now. Although he may be difficult to understand at times due to his polish accent, his guidance, experience, and knowledge is unmatched. For anyone that talks negative about him, read his wiki page and see just what kind of genius we have at WMU. His background and experiences speak for itself. Amazing man!

Targowski is a different kind of teacher. Go into his class with an open mind and you just might see the value of what his class really has to offer; there is a way to see the world differently from everyone else, and that's where value is found. unfortunately, 99% of my classmates seem unable to see things this way. He offers a rare education.

Horrible for many reasons. Heavy Polish accent that makes it very to get good notes. Class I took was supposed to be about IT and we just did 4 papers about companies that used IT. Uses your 'professional dress' as part of your grade and also has horrible stories that are irrelevant. Goes until 9 most of the time.

Literally knew nothing on the midterm exam and just B.S.'ed it and pulled a 97% which blew my mind. Wrote his own book which was completely worthless and I learned nothing from. By far the most pointless class I took at WMU.

Horrible! This was the 1st MBA course I took and it did not provide a very good introduction to the program. Targowski is literally the most narcissistic person I've ever met; the entire first class was basically just a 2 hr brag-fest with him gloating about his life's accomplishments. His accent is hard to follow and his book/material is bogus.

This is the worst class I have ever took and the worst teacher i've had to endure. He is very hard to understand and doesn't teach good enough to understand the material. He uses his own book that he wrote for the class and most of the models he uses in the book he makes up himself and make no sense.
